Now, very few of these pictures actually point to it being Jani weekend (as we celebrate in the States, because unfortunately, we don't get the summer solstice off as a public holiday here!), but is was. I know my Dad took lots of pictures too, so maybe when he sends some through, I'll post those too...
Beni got to meet our old friend Ilze- unfortunately, she slept through the introduction...
but I don't think Ilze minded!

My hat-wearing honeys :)

Caught napping...

Still asleep...clearly I simply placed the vainags/wreath on her head :)

Waking up- she's not really sure about what is on her head...

I mean, really...

Mom?!?

Having a chat with Daddy...

Questioning looks combined with fists... (she sports the fist 99% of the time when she's awake- particularly in this "got your nose" configuration)

Smiling at Daddy...punching herself in the chin(s)

Beni and I braved the party until 11pm that night, but were certainly sleeping soundly by midnight. I forget what that means for us for the next year, but I'm willing to live with the consequences of not staying up to see the sunrise. Snuggling in bed with my baby is way better. :)
